M P Association of Pulmonologists (MPAP) is a professional organization that unites pulmonary medicine specialists and healthcare professionals across Madhya Pradesh. Established with the vision of fostering excellence in pulmonary care, MPAP serves as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and advocacy in the field of pulmonary medicine.

Our mission is to improve respiratory health outcomes by promoting the highest standards of clinical care, education, and research. MPAP provides a forum for pulmonologists and allied healthcare professionals to share knowledge, engage in continuing medical education, and stay updated with the latest advancements in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases.

Core Objectives of MPAP:

1. Education and Training: To enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals through workshops, conferences, and training programs.

2. Research and Innovation: To encourage research in pulmonary medicine, promote evidence-based practices, and facilitate access to the latest advancements in the field.

3. Collaboration: To build a strong network of pulmonologists in Madhya Pradesh and allied specialists for sharing experiences, addressing challenges, and improving patient care collectively.

4. Advocacy and Awareness: To raise awareness about respiratory health issues among the public and policymakers, addressing the growing burden of diseases like asthma, COPD, lung cancer, and tuberculosis in Madhya Pradesh.

5. Community Engagement: To support initiatives that improve access to respiratory care in underserved areas, ensuring equitable healthcare for all.

As respiratory diseases continue to pose significant health challenges, MPAP remains dedicated to empowering its members and working toward a healthier future for the people of Madhya Pradesh. What we do

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

It is an ongoing process of development for a professional in the enhancement of their professional skills and proficiency throughout their careers. This ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out dated or obsolete; allows the individuals to up skill, irrespective of their age or education level.

Postgraduate Courses

These interactive postgraduate courses are generally 2 hour sessions, where learning happens through engaging the postgraduates in group discussions. They are designed to provide a thorough understanding of the interest area and enhance learning.

Patient Education:

These programs are the KPA ‘s commitment to increase awareness among the patients suffering from pulmonary diseases. Engage them through walkathons, public talks and discussions, help in forming disease specific support groups.

AIMS

To encourage and advance the knowledge, study and practice of the science of pulmonary medicine in all ways.

To hold meetings and organize conferences, exhibitions, study circles or conventions for the study and discussion of problems relating to and allied with the science of Pulmonary medicine.

To provide instruction and education to deserving persons in the science of Pulmonary medicine.

To award prizes, medals or other certificates to persons found deserving after such tests, examinations or other forms of scrutiny as may be prescribed from time to time.

To establish and maintain libraries and reading rooms.

To print, publish, distribute or sell books, pamphlets, notices, pictures, periodicals , bulletins or any other literature on any matter concerning or relating to the science or practice of Pulmonary medicine or the life or work of eminent persons.

To suggest, study, offer opinion and advice on the framing of laws affecting the science of practice of medicine, medical education, health policies and health care activities.

OBJECTIVES

To co‐operate with other associations or individuals to promote the objects of the Association.

To receive any gift or legacy of moveable or immovable assets with or without conditions for promoting the objectives of the Association.

To draw, make, accept, endorse, execute, negotiate, purchase, lend money upon, discount, hold and dispose of cheques, promissory notes, bills of exchange, drafts and other instruments and to cancel or change such instruments as per statute of Government.

To lay out, advance, invest, and deal with the Association’s funds for such investments and securities and generally in such manner as may be determined from time to time.

To engage such officials, servants or other persons as may be found necessary or useful for the conduct and management of the affairs of the Association.

To make bye‐laws, rules and regulations of the Association and to delete, change, or add to the same from time to time.

To do all such other acts as may be necessary, incidental, conducive or convenient to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.

Create and enhance awareness about pulmonary medicine among fellow professionals and community as a whole.
